As many of you know we The DVDJs Productions has moved to Miami Beach, FL. The past week we began working with DJ Irie and The Miami Heat VJing audio/video before and throughout the games.

The Heat games are amazing! Probably the largest crowd we’ve played in front of ever! The first game was against The Nets and the Heat and D-Wade saved the day for a last-10-second win. The second game, The Heat lost to The Trailblazers but it was a great game.

This past week was hectic but aweome. We VJ’d for The Fashion Designers Expo events on Tuesday at Dream (Miami Beach, FL), Wednesday at Mansion (Miami Beach, FL), and Friday at Voyage (Miami, FL). We were going all week non stop setting up during the day, walking the red carpet and doing photo ops, and performing for some of the hottest designers around.

We also attended Rick Ross’ party at Bed on Wednesday with DJ Affect. Look out for some hot footage coming up from that on the website and YouTube. We will be releasing our mixes from the nights throughout the upcoming weeks.

We had a blast at all the events. We got to meet some of America’s most beautiful women and play some great parties. Part of the DVDJs performance is mixing music videos (amongst other media.) Artists and labels spend considerably more money on the making of a video for a song than they do on the actual song sometimes. A music video is nothing more than a visual demonstration of the artist’s song and a promotional tool for the song. What a better way to release a song than with a video…

Send your newest videos to the DVDJs and let them plan a song release tour through the nightclubs and lounges of the US and other countries. The clubs are where the songs become famous. Think of this as the video equivalent of sending the hottest DJs a white label record or pre-release cd. We guarantee this will make hit songs ever hotter and spread faster than usual.

Even send us your song if you’d like to get the video out asap.

This is Johnny D from The DVDJs. This is my first blog entry. I will be writing a weekly update blog as well as individual posts for new events, mix releases, pictures, and more. I am going to play some catch up on this first blog and will be posting lots of media from our latest gigs and more.

First, an update on where The DVDJs stand and how The Reality TV project is coming along. We are happy to announce collaborations with DJ Irie, Irie Music, and The Miami Heat. We will be working closely with Irie and the Heat on producing the opening segment of weekend home games as well as working with DJ Irie on projects for during other games, other extraneous events, song and mix-tape releases, and more. We will also be teaming up with DJ Affect on a few mix tapes and performances. Both DJs are world class and new to the VJ scene.

We have been busy producing video for many of the entertainment companies we work with. We have been working closely with Zhantra Entertainment here in Miami Beach. Bengy has a great group of entertainers and dancers. Check them out at www.zhantra.com. Much of the video we use of dancers comes from footage from events where Zhantra provides dancers.

As far as production goes, The DVDJs will be releasing a new mix tape for the beginning of September. Keep an eye out. We are also in production for The DVDJs: Behind The Scenes, a documentary style highlight reel about Matt and myself with a look into our lives as DVDJs. We will highlight some of our key performances as well as give a little insight into who we are and what we do.

I just turned in the final draft of my review for the Edirol V8. Keep an eye out for that in the upcoming VJ issue of The DJ Times. I love the V8. My new reviews will be of the Edirol P10 and a few other key pieces coming out in the near future.
